I have one on its way and all the audio comments have made be worrying ….. however after hearing the above sample video, I dont think I have anything to worry about. Its good enough for me. samsung omnia HD, is the best feature full mobile around.

I have ordered it, but due to a stupid ebay seller its been delayed time after time. I brought the phone as a phone. Not a digital HD digital camcorder too. Infact I wouldn’t take many videos on it. I’m after the phone for the screen, and the 8mp camera, GPS + good music player via 3.5mm jack. Like an iphone without converting all my mp3s to apples codec.

To me the camera outdoors takes impressive photos, that’s worth it for me. HD video is a nice bonus.

I agree Private Prozac.. if you want to record amazing video buy a camcorder.. even so i’m just blown away by this phone.. and i think the video recording is really good anyway, especially the slow motion recording.

I’ve had it for 2 days and can’t put it down.. the only downside i can see (apart from the stuff you mention which i have too) is the crappy orange stuff on it.. i was looking forward to playing around with uploading straight onto youtube but orange have disabled share pix.. and the Real player won’t update the library.. just says refreshing which lasts forever..

But i had pretty high expectations for this phone and it’s exceeded them all.. get one!

Briggs ~ Judging by your comment, “But judging from this sample, its not as bad as I had originally thought it was”, it would indicate that you haven’t tried it yourself yet. So you, along with many others including myself, have gone along with what we have been told rather than experiencing it first hand.

My phone turned up yesterday. Due to recent comments I was very close to cancelling the order but I’m so glad that I didn’t. This phone is fantastic, (even with the Orange branding), and although I’m yet to try to video recording my expectations have been set as follows:
It is a mobile phone not a high-end HD camcorder.
It was free of charge, (albeit with a monthly mobile contract which I’d have anyway).

The audio can be fixed by a software/firmware update and I’m sure it will be at a later date. Let’s not lose sight of the fact that it is, at the end of the day, a MOBILE PHONE!

People should not be deterred from getting this phone based on others opinions alone. You will miss out on a fantastic handset in my opinion.
