i would sujest that u should not try to update your phone unless their is some problem because there is risk involve in the process of updating firmware. other thing is that if u flash it u will loose your warranty and for indians i say wait for the right firmware for indian market and go to samsung authorised place to upgrade ur phone because the samsung studio 7 updater is not a stable updater, well the choice is yours whether to risk your 30 grams

I’m currently running the Italian firmware, but with the new update coming to the UK this month, I’m looking to go back to UK firmware ready for the update. The thing is I don’t want and Orange rubbish back on my phone, does anyone know of an UK firmware with out this? i.e the firmware that runs on the sim free handsets?????

Hi Guys and Gals ..where ever u live go for italian version its the best out yet ..it support complete english language

I use the russian one. Of course all versions support English. The audio codek is cool on the russian version but the performance is likely slower than UK orange’s one, and thats the only difference I’ve found bet ween them so far.

After you debranded your phone you will probably need your orange maps back, in that case you’ll text “Orange Maps” to number 247 and in 2 seconds you’ll get a text with the link where you can download the latest version of orange maps.

Hi Rabi, It seems to me that you are using Uk Orange phone like me. In that case you’ll have to download the UK Orange firmware from this website first and install it with the instructions from this website to be able to update it later with your own Pc Studio. I .e. if your phone is using any other firmware rather than Orange’s one your Pc Studio won’t recognize it thats why you first need to make it orange then update it using the Pc Studio.
