I waited so long for this, feel a little bit disappointed

Well, it’s a nice shot but …
– Web browser still crashes from time to time
– When in browser, sometimes, when swiping finger, it launches the 3DNav app ?!!!
– When zooming in the web browser, the small overview windows that appears is really annoying when reading text
– Multitab support is still so poor on s60 browser
– When activating AntiShake in cam apps, taken pictures are *OVER* contrasted
– Have the feeling that operaMini still hangs from time to time (less than previously, agreed)
– Unable to use modem if the an app is already connected on the device
– And unable to connect on the device if already using modem
– Must first manually close all connection before switching 3G/2G, annoying
– Web browser do not automatically go fullscreen once the page is fully loaded
– I personally miss portrait mini qwerty keyboard that can be found on 5800
– Each time VideoPlayer starts, it rebuilds its library, why not maintain a cache same as mp3 player
– MP3 player does not adapt to selected theme + black/pink color ugly
– MP3 player : no customizable equalizer, only presets
– When listening to MP3 and activate cam, music stops -> Unable to listen to music while taking photos
– When listening to music or radio, any notification sound (email,sms,graviti twitter client) stops the music
– I personally don’t care abt video rec but several sources reported frame drop unfixed
– No kinetic scrolling

I hope all those come fixed in coming firmwares ….

I feel that this update is only about 3D taskswitcher and better battery (confirmed for me)

have your problem with the battery after that it was connected with New pc studio in yours pcs???…. becuase my batery life is died after 3 hours

There are other methods to download the firmware? I am not able to connect pc studio, drive error.

I am having issues when trying to upload photos via Communites. The problem seems centered around when I use the Gallery. Memory seems to bog down or something because everything slows down or locks entirely. I switch the the phone off and on again and the issue seems to resolve itself but it doesn’t go away entirely. Anyone have this?

hi guys i am dying here, i live in Australia but i think i have the french firmware on my phone and when i go to update my firmware it sais “update isent available in your region” what do i do i need help to fix this ASAP aaaaa please im dying Ive been waiting for the upgrade for around 4 months and still i cant update, please someone reply with help, or any other solution

updated new software. 1 thing i noticed is that if your fone is on silent it will now only vibrate.

and i cant change the beginning of the week in the calender. the option is not there. any clues?

Same thing happen to me
I installed to another computer from the samsung cd the usb drivermand pcstudio and all went well
On this computer i have not installed any files for debranding, so therefore no conflict between usb drivers

can some one please confirm if this italian firmware supports arabic language!

Since updating to this new firmware I have the following problems…

1 Im unable to open any pictures in the Gallery app, the phone just hangs even after switiching off / and on again. The application has now been made totally unuseable

2) the video recording sound in its default state is totally unuseble . video just squells and whistles is horendous. ive now had to change the mic settings and reduced them to 18 db instead of 24 which makes is slightly better

3) real player library is now also not working correctly.. if I try to open anything via real player library the app totally hangs or eventually opens, but all videos now play with skipping severall times a second. again making playing videos this route totally unseable

4) plus side my web browsing is lightening fast

Samsung should never of released this phone as far as I am concerned, its still far to much in beta stage.

Im so tempted to make a video of this phone and all the problems Ive had with it since owning it, and making it ever so public for all at Samsung to see, im really P***** off with it

using latest italian firmware with none of the problems you describe I suggest you hardreset the device and recheck …

Same goes with Application Installer.exe. I am not techie regarding this error (pardon my ignorance ) but I hope I can get help from you guys..

WTF – it appears that samsung firmware is trailing behind this masterpiece (or what really should be)
have just ordered this phone with the only UK provider ‘Orange Exploits’ and was really holding back for better version / provider. I know theres nothing really coming out in the iminent future hardware wise to challenge the omnia hd so decided to take the plunge ! & the 16GB version it appears has been stalled by orange to obviously get even more sales in at a later date – which is SAD – Samsung should have chose another provider to be their ambassadors. I am with Orange and their support is B&LLOX, complete BS.
Orange are a bunch of W&NKERS – SELL, SELL, SELL to the point where they get under your skin and render a tech marvel useless. I hope that with the use of this and other forums I can redeem my new phone. Did exactly the same with my N95 – thank god.

I flashed my phone & debranded mine back in June which was the Polish firmware (I had to change language from Polish to English). Will this be ok to flash it to the new Italian firmware using the same procedure..?
or would it be easier to flash it to the original Italian & where can I get it from?

I run Vista & I want to flash to the latest firware version but so scared to use virtual xp..Hope I can get support fr you Guys or any help that you could advise.

Hi, i updated my 8910 and now all is really faster! GOOD JOB SAMSUNG

I have a samsung i8920HD brought on orange. My camera didnt work and said I need to update the firmware, so installed the software, backed up all my files and started the update. Halfway throught an error came up saying I need the latest drivers and my phone is now stuck on a blue screen. The Bootloader ver 1.47!!!

i cant get out of this. Have reinstalled the drivers from the disc no luck, no drivers on samsungs website and now I CANT USE MY PHONE

please help, am running windows vista.

I am having problems installing the new firmware update,

The phone goes through the update process via the PC suite. But once total progress reaches 27% it freezes and nothing happens, i have left it for a couple of hours but it just wont go past 27%

Anyone got any ideas ?

when I updated the firmware everything was in Italian, had work through menus to get back to English. Also all links, downloads and apps are all Italian.

Is it me, did I do somethng wrong?

The phone now needs to be restarted(battery out) at least twice a day due to freezing when doing pretty much anything. If the phone is not used for say about one hour then it freezes when I try to look at messages, phonebook, browse the net etc..etc.., the battery life manages to get 24 hours if I don’t use the phone(even with backlight turned down and timeout etc adjusted.

I know there are many suggestions on here for different upgrades, tell me though, can I uninstall the latest firmware or do I need to flash the phone then upload the original firmware before redoing the upgrade(it feels like sometjhign was missed in the original firmware upgrade process)

firmware is currently showing as: I8910XXII2 – I have no idea what it was prior to upgrade.

Any thoughts on wiping the phone and installing Windows Mobile 6.5 or android?

i just tried to install the xxja1 software last nite on my omnia and now the screen shows a mobile , a triangle with an exclamation mark inside and a pc.i tried to re flash it but same thing again.
any ideas?
