Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if it has a light function on it. I think it looks like a great phone and really want to get it but I use the torch/flashlight function on my current phone all the time so if it doesn’t have it I might have to re consider…

    Dear All,

Just wanted to know if this phone has an fm transmitter. From some googling around, all i came to know was that, the phone has the required hardware.. However, to activate it, one will have to go to the manufacturer mode and manually do it!…please let me know if this is true? or if doesnt hav an fm transmitter at all

Hi. I have read on many specifications for the Omnia HD that it can support up to 32GB external memory, yet many other spec reports state only 16GB … I would prefer to purchase the larger option but it would SUCK if that turned out to not work… Any ideas??

Some say 16GB and other say 32GB. This is because 16GB is the largest available at the moment. But 32GB microSD will work when released. Hope this helps.

Hi all. I have had this phone for a week and it’s the best phone I have used in a long time. I sold my iPhone to get this one and in my opinion it kills the iPhone. The video playback is superb with amazing clarity and sound. I just dragged and dropped my AVI files to the memory card and they play with out need of conversion. It takes amazing pictures and records great video. Timmy , I am not sure on the card issue as I have read the same as you. I have a 16gb card but my mate has a 32gb card that I am going to try over the weekend. I will post about it when I have tried and let you know

Thanks very much Speed-Racer. I look forward to your results…

As for your comments about the iPhone – I couldn’t agree more! I haven’t owned an iPhone (Purely down to my utter dislike for everytrhing that makes an iPhone) but I have definetly played with enough of them to know that the I8910 is by far superior :) You’ve made the right choice as has every other member of this forum.

Hi Timmy. I tried a 32gb micro sd card the other day and seemed to work no worries at all, we transfered a few movie and music files onto it and it played them all ok. I have also just updated the firmware and it has made a big difference to the phone’s performance. it appears to running faster and the internet is loading much quicker than before. I think the only thing with phone that I do not like is the music player and the samsung music transfer. I have an iPod that I use for music anyway. I found the music was very quiet so I used the code to turn it up for music and movies and that worked great. My mate has the new iPhone 3GS and he was bragging about how good it is until I showed the i8910,his jaw hit the floor..lol..he now wants one too..lol..I was also in a Vodafone store here in Adelaide to buy a car charger for it and all the staff were going nuts over it..so I think when it does get released here in Australia it will go off and blow all the others out of the water..

One more thing..the battery life is shit but I have found by turning off the vibrate when you touch the phone, change receive packet data to when needed and basically everything that is not needed for everyday use and it does seem to be lasting longer

Not really.. i checked the satio and its picture quality (still and video) is inferior to the i8910. i8910 has a better hardware and display unit. hence i chose i8910 over satio (many more thigs too, like the powerful gps reciever).

My phone seam not to have the internal memory of 8GB , without the memory card you cannot copy even a single audio file.I have a memory card of 2 Gb but still cannot move files from phone memory to memory card.

Hi guys – am thinking of getting one of these, just wondering whether i-phone would suit me better as I quite like the idea of having all my music on there. what are the music features on the HD i8910? Can you transfer the contents of your ipod onto it for example? Any info appreciated – i’d much prefer to buy one of these as i really don’t want to become an i-clone, and I really want a decent phone cam.

Well, christina, your definetly going to get a decent camera with the i8910, and on the complete opposite, the iphones camera is similar to that of mobiles released in the early 90′s. Music-wise, the HD is not as good as the iphone, obviously, but I use it every day for my music, though I do have an iPod also.

I have a couple of applications that allow me to rip tunes from my iPod and let me put them onto my HD, so thats not really a problem. Other than that, the only thing u wont be getting with an HD that u will with an iphone is the thousands (possibly millions) of applications.

Heres hoping samsung get a decent app store on the go soon – as this is pretty much the only thing that holds it back from surpassing the iphone.

Also, I do hope u choose the right phone, Christina, cause I’m not going to tell u which is better 4 u (though i looove my i8910!) :)

hi all…just bought the phone and its a very nice one. however, can anyone help me on the following:

    1) cannot change phone’s name in bluetooth settings.i changed it but did not work

    2) they say the phone has dnse function…..thats not true….you cant even create a preset equaliser in music player. dnse is a superb function…i have it in my samsung P2 mp4 player and it really changes the sound quality.
