Samsung i8910 firmware I8910XXII1 Photo + Video samples

Panorama001

Here is a new batch of sample photos and videos I took today based on the i8910XXII1 Italian firmware. These were taken whilst I was out on a quick sight seeing walk around the city. Also I don’t remember the panoramic photo mode being so easy! Samsung have tweaked with mode with a new GUI interface.  Its easy to come away with a great looking photo. Just check out my sample above and you’ll see for yourself. The photos are merged together almost perfectly.

*I will post some new night and indoor samples in a few days.

Firmware I8910XXII1 Photo sample gallery

(Quality reduced as they have been edited with only increased jpeg compression to reduce load times)

Video sample:

Full photo samples can be downloaded here – 25Mb

Full video sample 720p Mp4 – 31.5mb

Digg!

I’m not sure, its was wet. But the water sounded fine. Maybe its the mic gain I have set? I will try with some other settings.

No, if you download the photos here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RP3O690Q

You see they are 100% from the camera and of the memory card. They have not been touched up with any photo editor / paintshop.

Hi Briggs, do you know why the little drops in the video ? i´m thinking to buy one but those drops in the main feature of the mobile are ugly. I´ll appreciate your answer.

Are you refering to the frame rate drops correct? Its something Samsung are working on. I’m sure in future firmware releases they will improve the video fps. Its meant to be 24fps, but drops sometimes to 23-22fps.

Video seems choppier than previous firmware. Although it also seems more vibrant and less shaky. But that could just be my shaky hands :P

Is it just me but since up dating to this firmware, I have the following problems

1 the sound recording on video is terrible, all I can hear is squelling and whistling with the default settings

2 My application gallery wont open pictures anymore, the application just hangs

3 In real player video library im now not able to play any videos properly in there, all vidoes just jump severall times a second and the lag is so bad this application is now unuseable

4 I now have to use Video player to play my videos, and media browser to find and open my pictures

is there a plus point, hmmm my web browser now works lightening fast, the stop bug has gone

I really dont know whats going on, I cant believe samsung have sent out a firmware update whith these kinds of problems. I now have more problems then i did before!!!

    Grrrr

#2 hmm my gallery seems to be malfunctioning too. I can enter it and view the thumbnails fine, but if i open a picture or video, it freezes and wont let me exit (even if I use the task manager to close it there’s still that icon signifying it’s running). This could be due to the amount of pictures/videos but even then, it’s a video phone. They should expect that

gallery worked flawlessly before the firmware update. Anyone else having this problem? IS it the amount of pictures/videos (about 115 videos, 50 pictures)? I could move them to my computer but i like being able to re-watch them

I could not display java display on http://www.dbs.com.sg, i.e., could not see the login and password field. Is it because i8910 is using Jave ME? Can anyone help on this?

    Three quick questions:

    1. Can I flash the Italian I8910XXII1 if I have I8910ZXIG2 Generic Hong Kong?

    2. Is it safe to flash (I have never done it before. The phone is brand new) ?

    3. If I fuck up my phone after flashing, will I be able to “get my money back” from samsung?

I think if you mess it up that it, its messed up and no money back anything.

But anyways i flashed my Singapore version and it worked, i used the Russian version, everything went fine.

Tried the Italian version but didnt work.
