This video out demonstration in Russia of the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD shows the unit is displaying video out via the 3.5mm jack. The video clearly shows this. If anyone understands Russian can they please confirm this is what the Samsung reps are saying? Sorry my Russian is about as good as my Chinese!
I have a feeling that is jut a power able to the device and they where showing off the device DLNA ability, but I could be wrong.
I have a feeling that is just a power cable to the device and they where showing off the device DLNA ability, but I could be wrong.
But the power cable doesn’t connect from the top of the phone in the 3.5 mm jack. Just look at the video closely.
Actually, this video was captured by me. I can confirm that they used 3.5mm jack for video out. This can be clearly seen during the video.
i8910HD was connected to TV using the standard cable similar to that used in Nokia 5800 (3.5mm – RCA) extension cable. So that’s ok. There are at least two options for video out: via 3.5mm jack cable and DNLA wi-fi (for HD quality).
Sorry for my english.
It’s not clear if the announcer is In fact the Samsung rep, & his not talking about the video or 3.5mm jack.
Thanks speedfire for your comment. You were lucky enough to hold a Omnia HD 🙂
it uses nokia software, that uses 3,5 mm for video out…
Just tried the i8910 with the nokia N96 video out cable, it works just fine!
Cool thanks for that! I think I have a spare N95 cable so that will work i guess
Then, does the n95 tv-out cable work for the omnia hd?
Im really interested in the TV out option, on this video it looks fine on there TV. Ive just used one which came with my partners Nokia 5800 and the TV out on my 40 in Samsung LCD series 5 screen is terrible and I mean terrible, despite setting the option in the phone to widescreen etc. I dont understand how on this video the quality looks so good. My partners Nokia 5800 doesnt output any better either ??
The Nokia cable from the 5800 has 3 cables from the 3.5 mm jack which go into my left and right audio and then video of my TV, should I be connecting it here or somewhere else. My Tv has componet conenctions on the back saying Y etc.etc but they are not the same colouring as the plug leads from the nokia cable. So I would of though what I was connecting was correct.
